    • Charles Groschel, 52, of Stockbridge, died this morning at his home after a nine months’ illness.

      He was born in the town of Chilton August 3, 1898, and was married to Ann Mueller. The couple had lived in Stockbridge for the past 28 years.

      Mr. Groschel was a member of St. Mary’s church at Stockbridge and of the Holy Name society.

      He leaves his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Clarence {Clara} Thiel of Greenleaf, Mrs. Norbert {Evelyn} Thiel of St. John, Mrs. Ray {Olive} Vander Zanden of Little Chute, and Miss Viola and Miss Irene at home; one son, Herbert, at home; seven grandchildren; and four brothers and four sisters.

      Funeral services will be held Tuesday at St. Mary’s church at Stockbridge, and burial will be in the parish cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Schumacher Funeral home in Stockbridge.
