    • MOUNT HOLLY - Eugene A. Siebers, 83, was born in Appleton, Wis., and on Thursday, February 23, 2012, he joined his Heavenly Father, his parents, Joseph and Zita, also his son, Joe.

      Gene leaves behind his loving wife of 59 years; Marie, in the loving arms of their children, Sandy, Terry, Mike, Kathy, Jennie and Peggy, 12 grandchil-dren; and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his bothers, Jerry and Keith; sisters, Carol and Lois.

      Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church.

      Visitation will be 10 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Mausoleum with full military rites provided by the U.S. Navy and Gaston County Honor Guards.

      In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Gaston Hospice, c/o Robin Johnson Hospice House, P.O. Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.
