- David J. Halloran
1531 N. Alvin St.
Age 75, passed away at 2:30 a.m. Thursday after a lingering illness. He was born August 16, 1893 in the Town of Ellington and had resided in the Appleton area all of his life where he was an automobile mechanic until he was employed by the Leath Furniture Company. Mr. Halloran was also employed by the Stokely Van Camp Company until his retirement 9 years ago. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Therese Catholic Church and the American Legion having served in the World War I Army Cavalry. Survivors include his wife, Marie Hoffmann Halloran; one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Vivian) Wilz, Appleton; one son, Victor, Green Bay; three brothers, Leo, Myrtle Creek, Oregon; Edward, route 1, Hortonville; Norman, Plymouth; six sisters, Mrs. Ben (Ceil) Courtois, and Mrs. Clement (Mae) Callan, both of Appleton; Mrs. Peter (Bess) Van Dinter, Little Chute; Mrs. Lawrence (Jule) Kampf and Miss Theresa Halloran, both of Route 1, Hortonville; Miss Clara Halloran, San Carlos, California; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from St. Therese Catholic church with interment following in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home from 2 p.m. Friday where the rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Friday.
