      Funeral services for Jacob Kraus, 89, of 17 N. Peters Ave., will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He died at 8:10 p.m. Monday, April 30, 1979, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton.

      The Rev. Raymond Fox will officiate, and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

      He was born May 25, 1889, at Marytown, a son of the late Hubert and Katherine Mertens Kraus. He married Elizabeth A. Buechel at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fond du Lac, on April 21, 1914.

      Mr. Kraus was a member of Sacred Heart Church and Holy Name Society. He formerly farmed in the Malone area.

      Surviving are two sons, Clarence of Appleton and Elmer of Winters, California; 16 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife on Oct. 3, 1973, and by a daughter, son, two brothers and 10 sisters.
