      Banker, Helen A.
      Helen A. Banker, 90, Black Creek, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2008, at Manor Care in Appleton. She was born on Nov. 21, 1917, to the late Peter and Mary (Stoeffel) Kern. Helen was united in marriage to Harry Banker. He preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 1987. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Black Creek, where she often volunteered to serve funeral luncheons. Helen enjoyed her large vegetable garden, taking long walks and her yearly trip to Sturgeon Bay to pick cherries.
      Helen is survived by a daughter, Joyce Banker, Appleton; a son, Wayne Banker, Appleton; and many nieces and nephews.
      She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry; sister, Viola Banker; and two brothers, Levi Kern and John Kern Sr.
      Friends may call to St. Mary Catholic Church in Black Creek, on Wednesday, June 25, 2008, from 9 a.m. until the funeral mass at 10 a.m. Fr. Theodore Hendricks officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
