Age 87, died Thursday evening at the Appleton Extended Care Center, after a short illness. He was born August 14, 1892 in the Township of black Creek where he farmed most of his life. He later moved to Seymour and was supervosor for the Outagamie County Fair Association for 19 years. After his retirement he moved to Appleton. He was a member of Freedom Moravian Church. Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law; two stepsons and daughters-in-law: Harold and Arlene Techlin, Appleton; and Lloyd and Shirley Techlin, Route 3, Appleton; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elsie Jarchow Lemke, in 197 and his second wife, Edna Techlin Lemke, September 1979. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Freedom Moravian Church, Township of Freedom with the Rev. William P. Myers officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may call at the Muehl Funeral Home, Seymour, from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the time of the service.
