      Monday, April 7, 1947

      Mrs. Joseph Jansen, 72, 709 Madison St., Llittle Chute, died unexpectedly at 3:30 Sunday afternoon while visiting her sister, Mrs. Ann Van Gomple, Little Chute, who is a patient at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born in De Pere January 13, 1875, and has been a resident of Little Chute for 46 years.

      Besides her sister, Mrs. Van Gomple, she is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Albert P. Hietpas, Kimberly and Mildred, Little chute; two sons, Norbert and Elmer, Little Chute; and four grandchildren and a great grandchild.

      Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning at St. John's Catholic Church, Little Chute with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. John J. Sprangers, pastor, in charge and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 7 o'clock tonight at the Verkuilen Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited at 8:15 tonight and Tuesday evening.

      A double wedding took place at DePere, Thursday in which Little Chute is interested. The contracting parties are Peter Weyenberg of this place and Miss Susan Williamson of DePere, and Joe Jansen and Miss Minnie Williamson of the same city. The ceremony was performed at the West DePere Catholic Church at nine o'clock in the morning, Rev. John Verstegen officiated. Jacob Weyenberg and Miss Hattie Weyenberg of Little Chute, attended the first couple and Martin Jansen and Miss Annie Jansen of DePere, acted in the capacity of best man and lady for the latter. Both couples has the best wishes of a large number of friends residing at this place.
