- Helerian Victor Balthazor, age 82, New London, left this earth on Sunday, November 7, 2010. Helerian was born on January 31, 1928, oldest son of Casper and Gertrude (Simmonis) Balthazor. On October 18, 1950, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Spoehr. Helerian retired from the Neenah Foundry in 1992, after 29½ years of service. His love for life was hunting, fishing and watching his large garden grow. You can take the boy off the farm but you can't take the farm out of the boy.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; was the loving father of: Helen Wilson, Michael Balthazor, his wife, Barb, Jerome Balthazor, his wife, Phyllis, Margaret Douglas, Diana Warren and special friend, Tex Keeton, and James Balthazor. Loving grandfather of Michael Wilson, Laural Connolly, Ryan Balthazor, Jason Balthazor, Amy Alf, Merri Balthazor, Katheryn Weidner, Jerilyn Anker, Tammy Douglas, Samantha Warren, Kristina Warren, Judith Warren, Jolen Calkens, Jordan Balthazor, Jacole Balthazor, Michael Theodore James. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Norman, Samuel and Dennis, sisters, Janice Balthazor, Rita Schwietzer, Marcella Guyette and Elaine Wright and a grandson, Jerome Jay Wilson.
Funeral services for Helerian will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London, with Pastor Paul Franzmeier officiating. Burial will be in the Hobart Cemetery, Royalton Township. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November, 9, 2010, from 4-8 p.m. where a 7 p.m. prayer service will be held. Also at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
