He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II in the Pacific Theater from 1942 to 1945 and proudly served with the 32nd Division, 127th Infantry, Co. D (Red Arrow Division). A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger Street, Neenah, with Fr. Richard Allen officiating. Entombment will be at the Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum, Neenah. Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the mass. Military honors will be performed by members of the Hawley-Dieckhoff American Legion Post #33, Neenah, and members of the U.S. Army following the mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Northeast Wisconsin Old Glory Honor Flight. Dad was fortunate enough to go to Washington D.C. in August to see the World War II Memorial which honors all the World War II veterans, "The Greatest Generation".

Thank you to the staff (past and present) of The Fresenius Dialysis Center of Neenah. You were so good to Dad for 5 years.

"Dad, through your example you taught us girls to work hard, appreciate what we have, and to take care of it. You were a good husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa, neighbor and friend. Anyone who needed help could always count on you. Your legacy has carried on for three generations and will go on for many more to come." With love - Your Girls.Kessler Funeral Home
