DeYoung, Germaine Y.
Germaine, age 90, of Appleton, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born August 1, 1917, in Vinh, French Indo China to the late Louis and Odette (Gougon) Lejeune. She married George DeYoung in 1948, sharing 33 years together before his death in 1981. Germaine taught French at many of the parochial grade schools in the Appleton area and ended her career teaching at St. Thomas More Catholic School. She was especially fond of her Greyhound dogs and enjoyed working crossword puzzles and watching late-night movies with her daughter Gisele.
She is survived by a daughter: Gisele DeYoung, Appleton; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Michel and Kay DeYoung, Appleton and Gerard Reynaud, Lyon, France.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2008, at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Chapel with Deacon David DeYoung officiating. A memorial fund has been established.
