| Photos | Mark D. Gavinski May 16, 1941 — June 18, 2025 Menasha Mark D. Gavinski, 84, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 18, 2025. He was born on May 16, 1941, to his parents Sylvester and Ester (Peterson) Gavinski. Mark was born and raised in Menasha. He graduated from Menasha High School in 1959 and went to Devry technical college for a short time. He worked as a lineman for a phone company and moved on to work as a food purchaser until he took an early retirement to take care of his wife, Jeanne. He also owned property and managed apartments. He and Jeanne met during a double date and were married on September 1, 1962. Together they raised 5 children. He was a huge train lover and enthusiast. He also enjoyed his toy semi-trucks. He took pride in his yard and would spend a lot of time making it perfect. He was also a polka music lover. Mark is survived by his children: Steven Gavinski, Martin (Karen) Gavinski, Kara (Duane) Gavinski-Tepolt, Daniel (Nicholeen) Gavinski, David Gavinski; grandchildren: Sarah (Nick) Rathsack, Justin Gavinski, Ashley Gavinski, Joshua Gavinski, Jenna (Nicholas Fleck) Tepolt, Haley (Austin Schermitzler) Tepolt, Alexis Tepolt, Tyler Gavinski, Brandon (Breeannah) Gavinski, Liberti Gavinski; great-grandchildren: Madilyn, Brahm, Chloe, Briley, Colton, Wyatt, Greyson; brother Joseph Gavinski; sisters-in-law Lynne Gavinski and Elaine Baizeman; brother-in-law Danford Sindahl; and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, daughter Michelle, siblings Judith Gavinski and Thomas Gavinski, and his mother and father-in-law Charles and Marcella Martin, brother-in-law James Martin, and sister-in-law Marilynn Sindahl. There will be a memorial service on July 24, 2025, at Laemmrich Funeral Home – 312 Milwaukee St. Menasha WI 54925. The visitation will be from 9am – 11am with the service starting at 11. The burial will take place immediately after. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to his son David for taking such great care of Mark for the last several years. |
