- Jean M. Mooren, 67, of De Pere passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning January 21, 2014. She was born July 23, 1946 to Laverne Selissen and the late Lawrence Selissen. On October 11, 1969 she married Ron Mooren. Jean enjoyed traveling with Ron, and attending her grandchildren's activities. She volunteered for over twenty years at St. Vincent Hospital. Jean was also a devout member of St. Michael Catholic Church, where she belonged to the Rosary Club.
She is survived by her husband Ron, her children; Betsy Heinemeyer, Cindy (Mike) Vander Heiden, Pete (Katie) Mooren, and Joe Mooren. Jean is further survived by her seven grandchildren; Savannah, Isaiah, Adrian, Morgan, Emily, Landon, and Asher. Her mother Laverne Selissen, as well as her siblings, Sister Jean Paul Selissen CSJ, Mary Jo (Ken) Gerrits, Bill (Terry) Selissen, Kathy Paque, David (Kris) Selissen, Rita (Steve) Lacenski, Ann (Dan) Shibler, and Ron's sister Kathy (Jim) Kocken, and numerous nieces and nephews survive Jean.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Selissen, one sibling, Sister Rita Lawrence Selissen CSJ, brothers in law; Dave Paque, and George Mooren, a nephew Steve Paque, and her in laws Norbert and Florence Mooren.
Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street De Pere after 4pm Friday January 24, 2014. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30pm to bring the evening to a close. Visitation will continue after 9am Saturday at St. Michael Catholic Church 1782 Chapelle Rue, De Pere. A Traditional Latin Requiem Mass will be held at 11am, led by Father Daniel Themann SSPX. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Please go to www.ryanfh.com to send online condolences to the family. In Lieu of flower donations, the family asks that all memorials be given to St. Michael Church in Jean's name.
