Nennig, Marcella M. "Sally"
Marcella M. "Sally" Nennig, age 82, of Stockbridge died on Wednesday, January 21, 2009, at Parkside Care Center in Little Chute. She was born July 16, 1926, in Mackville, daughter of the late Matt & Aurelia (Tremmel) Dorn. She married Wilmer J. "Willie" Nennig on January 7, 1944, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton. During her life, Sally worked as a waitress and cook at Gobbler's Knob in Stockbridge and the Hemauer General Store in Stockbridge. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge and the Christian Mothers. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, cooking & canning, word searches and crossword puzzles. Sally was an individual with a big heart who was always willing to help anyone with anything they needed. Her love was always poured out in abundance to her family and she most enjoyed the time she could spend with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Willie; her children: Gary (Barb) Nennig, Chilton; Shirley (Ted) Sell, Stockbridge; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren: Connie (Mike) Krueger and their children Andy and Nick, Dave Sell, Wendy (Dave) Ecker and their children Megan and Mitchell, Julie (Noel) Bushor and their children Brooke and Jayda, Stephen Nennig, Brad Nennig, Kim (Steve) Mathes, Kari (Joe) Loose; a brother, Jerry (Melba) Dorn, Appleton; two sisters: Velma Yerkman, New Holstein; Bernie Gaffney, Kimberly; a sister-in-law, Jonnie Dorn, Appleton; and a brother-in-law, Marvin (Rita) Nennig, Appleton.
She was preceded in death by six brothers: Clarence, Raymond, Merlyn, Leo, Clifford and Kenneth Dorn; and a sister: Delores Zimmer.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2009, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge with the Rev. Philip Dinh-Van-Thiep officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. A special thank you to the staff at Parkside Care Center for the wonderful care given to Sally.
