- Helen T. (Neuser) Scheuer was born on June 16, 1927, in Appleton, Wis., to the late Oscar and Agnes (Salm) Neuser. Helen passed away on April 6, 2015.
Helen attended elementary school at St. Mary's School in Brillion, Wis. She was a boarding student at St. Joseph's Academy in Green Bay, Wis., from 1941-1945. She so loved her years there! After graduation from the Academy, Helen attended Manitowoc County Normal School from 1945-1947. She dearly loved teaching and taught in one room rural schools for several years. Helen studied music at the Manitowoc Conservatory of Music. She loved to sing, especially in the operettas.
Helen enjoyed cooking and baking, camping, traveling, and especially visits from her family and friends. Helen loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, and their spouses very much. Also dear to her heart were her nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Tom) Bomber, Eau Claire, Wis.; sons, Paul (Susan) Scheuer, Warsaw, Ind.; Brian Scheuer, Crivitz, Wis.; Tim (JeanAnn) Scheuer, Helena, Mont.; and Peter Scheuer, Oconomowoc, Wis.; grandchildren, Meredith (Graham) Hayes, Eau Claire, Wis.; Allison (Ryan) Whalen, Eau Claire, Wis.; Matthew (Sarah) Scheuer, Granger, Ind.; Jason Scheuer, Steamboat Springs, Colo.; Trent (Cassandra) Scheuer, Helena, Mont.; and great-grandchildren, Langston and Lennon Whalen, Wisconsin; Ronan, Brogan and Conlan Scheuer, Indiana; and Christopher and Elizabeth Scheuer, Montana. Survivors also include her sister, Agnes Baer, brothers, Charles (Lois) Neuser and Francis (Dolores) Neuser, brother-in-law, Berwyn Leiffert, many special nieces, nephews, other relatives, and special friends, Marlene Fay, Shirley Schmidt, and Chris Muir.
Those preceding Helen were her parents, sister, Gladys, sister, Margaret and her husband, Jim Kleiber, sister, Marion and her husband, Lee Counard, and nieces, Martha Leiffert and Lisa Jurek.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass will be held on June 13, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 9th St, Green Bay, Wis., time to be determined. Visitation will be one hour before Mass.
