Kopf, Albertine C.
Albertine C. Kopf, 73, Chilton, died on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. She was born Feb. 3, 1934, daughter of the late Clem & Margaret (Heimermann) Buechel. She married Clarence Kopf on April 5, 1956, in Chilton. He later preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 1995. Albertine was an active member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, was a member and past President of the Daughters of Isabella Circle and served for 26 years as Treasurer of the Christian Mothers. She served more than 40 years as a 4-H leader in Calumet County and was a member of AFS. Albertine also was a two-time President of the Chilton Eagles Auxiliary and for many years she worked as the Head Cook for the Eagles Club.
Survivors include her children, Audrey (Kent) Mosebach, Oshkosh; Anna Mae Kopf, Chilton; Daniel (Wendy) Kopf, Chilton; Marie (Robert) Hughes, Kiel; Lisa (Jerome) Fesing, Chilton; Marian (Sam) Brown, Appleton; Judy Kopf, Kalamazoo, Mich.; an AFS daughter, Cornelia Albrecht, Frankfurt, Germany; 11 grandchildren, Nathan Kopf, Mitchell, Levi and Isabell Kopf, Jeremiah and Emma Hughes, Jedidiah, Donavan and Spencer Fesing, Julie Kopf and Zachary Brown; seven step-grandchildren, Shanon (Mark) Odegaard, David Hughes, Patti (Mike) Bisek, Aaron (Lori) Mosebach, Adam (Cheryl) Mosebach, Kristin (Keith) Martin, Michael Sorenson; nine step-great-grandchildren, Tylor Hughes, Kaylee Schreiber, Noah and Kathryn Odegaard, Evan Martin, Jason and Thomas Mosebach, Olivia and Claire Mosebach; and eight brothers and sisters, Bernice (Joseph) Propson, Tom Buechel, Betty Moehn, Monica Halbach, George (LaVern) Buechel, Christine (Allen) Halbach, Veronica (Paul) Heinrich. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Benjamin and Bruno Buechel; and a sister, Magdaline Joas.
Funeral services will be at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton with the Rev. Bob Kollath officiating. Springtime burial will take place in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Chilton. Friends may call at the church from 1:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. when the service will be held.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bryan Avery and Dr. Christopher Wagner and all the medical staff from the two west wing at St. Elizabeth Hospital for the great care they provided Albertine.
