- Robert I. Milheiser, Combined Locks, age 85, passed away on Saturday morning, November 8, 2014 at Rennes Health Center. He was born on February 28, 1929 in Appleton, son of the late William and Olive (Johns) Milheiser. On November 29, 1957 he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Martzahl in Cedarburg, WI. Together, they celebrated 56 years of marriage. Robert was an U.S. Navy Veteran serving after WWII on the USS Topeka, a Cruiser. He was employed by Fox River Lines as a bus driver from 1953-1967. He was then employed by Appleton Papers for 27 years until his retirement in 1994, where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Bob enjoyed coffee at Mohnen's and "shooting the bull" with the morning guys and was also a familiar face at the Kimberly Library as he enjoyed reading books.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; his four sons: Marty (Darlene), Jon (Sara), Paul (Staci), and Kurt (Leslie); Six grandchildren: Jason, Abbie, Emmie, Nicholas, Robbie, Quinn; three step-grandchildren: Adee, Cydnee, and Fletcher; a great-grandchild, Jackson; a sister, Pearl Vorpahl; two brothers: Charles "Chuck" (Lynn) Milheiser and Dale (Yvette) Milheiser; one sister-in-law: Doris Milheiser. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and Mary Jane's relation: Gerald Martzahl, Paul (Sandra) Martzahl, Anne (Tom) Jansen, Mary Krueger, and Rita Martzahl. Preceding him in death were his parents, two sisters: Jeanette Rissling and Barbara Siebers, a brother, Andrew Milheiser, and Mary Jane's parents: William and Gen Martzahl, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Clara (Clarence) Van Dyke, Leon Krueger, Howard (Germaine) McCabe, Eugene (Vivian) Martzahl, and John Martzahl.
Memorial Services for Robert will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive in Kaukauna. Pastor Jan Frederickson from El Shaddai Christian Fellowship will officiate. Full military rites will follow. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Robert's name is being established
