    • MADISON - Sr. Annacile Kees, age 78 of Madison, passed away at home on Friday, March 9, 2012.

She was born at home in St. John, Wis. on Sept. 3, 1933, the daughter of Michael and Clara (Popp) Kees. She was one of 17 children in a close, loving family.

Sr. Annacile professed her vows as a Sister of St. Agnes in 1952. She spent many years, mainly as a first grade teacher in Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, Waunakee, and also for a short time in Kansas.

Sr. Annacile struggled for many years with illness before receiving much healing from God. She was then called by God to begin a new community named the Living Stones of Jesus in order to share this healing with as many people as possible.

Sr. Annacile loved to sing and dance. She was a very loving, joyful, and nurturing person. She had a deep faith, loving compassion for all people, and was always willing to share her faith. She will be greatly missed, but her spirit will live with us forever.

She is survived by the Living Stones of Jesus Community; her brothers and sisters, Rita (Ray) Mueller, Sr. Cecile Marie Kees, Sr. Marie Kees, Ruth Uitenbrock, Regina (Marvin) Brickner, Dorothy (Roland) Brandt, Martin (Mary Kay) Kees, Michael (Christine) Kees and Ann (Charles) Peters; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lillian, Hildegard and Alvera; brothers, Adelbert, Herman, Leonard and Joseph; brothers-in-law, Armon Zahn and Claude Uitenbrock; and sisters-in-law, Helen, Esther, Marie and Joyce Kees.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N. Sherman Ave., Madison on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Msgr. Charles Schluter officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, Madison. Visitation will be held at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH on Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Living Stones of Jesus.
