    • Carlton J. "Junior" Francois, 65, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully at home on November 6, 2016. Junior was born on April 15, 1951 to the late Carlton and Caroline (Routhieaux) Francois. He graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1970. He went on to proudly serve in the United States Army for three years in Germany. Junior married the love of his life, June Van Deurzen, on January 29, 1983, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Green Bay. He worked at Green Bay Dressed Beef for 21 years and went on to work at Walmart until his retirement in 2006. Junior enjoyed taking the scenic route wherever he went, fishing, word search puzzles, playing cards, darts, and bowling. He also enjoyed watching his son, Zak, bowl and was very proud of his accomplishments.

      Junior is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, June; son, Zachary (Brianna Van Lanen) Francois; "adopted" son, Alec Fowler; cat, Lars; grandpuppies, Cobi, Rex, Xena; brothers and sister, James Francois, John (Nancy) Francois, Roger (Lynn) Francois, and Carol (Tom) Miller; sisters-in-law, Beverly Van Deurzen, Joanne Van Deurzen, and Nancy (Harley) Roffers; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends.

      He is preceded in death by his parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; sister-in-law, Cheryl Francois; father and mother-in-law, Harold and Leona Van Deurzen.

      Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 9 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. The evening will conclude with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 743 S. Monroe Ave. will the Rev. Paul Schleis officiating. Full military honors will follow the service. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in De Pere. Condolences may be expressed at prokowall.com

      The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Unity Hospice Staff, especially Dar, Linda, Kathy, and Christine. They would also like to thank the Cardiologist Associates, especially Dr. Verma, Sarah, Becky, and Becca.
