    • Dennis W. "Borgie" Borg, 69 of Kaukauna passed away on March 12, 2016 at his home, with his family at his side. Dennis was born on September 1, 1946 to Arthur A. and Bernice (O'Brien) Borg in Appleton. He was a 1964 graduate of Kaukauna High School. After graduation he served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. He was a member of The American Legion of Wrightstown and the VFW Post 2778. On September 25, 1971 he married the former Joan Petersen at St. John Lutheran Church in Wrightstown and they enjoyed over 44 years together. He was a man of strong Christian faith and a dedicated member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Kaukauna. He was a member of the Men of Bethany "The MOB" Bible group and enjoyed helping out at church, especially painting. He probably painted every room at Bethany at one time or another. Dennis was a selfless and compassionate man. He would give his last penny to a person in need. He loved attending Kaukauna High School sports events and was a proud member of the Quarterback Club. He was an Indianapolis Colts fan and loved the Badgers. He was a 20 year season ticket holder for Badgers Football. He was a longtime employee of Thilmany Pulp and Paper, retiring on October 3, 2003. More than anything, Dennis loved his family. He was a very loving and caring husband, father and grandfather.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Joan, his children: Peter Borg of Grand Chute and Hannah (Chad) Rose of New London, 1 grandchild Gabriel, 2 brothers Arthur (Mary Ellen) Borg, Jr. of Little Chute and Michael (Judy) Borg of Appleton, his sister Sandra Wickesberg of Kaukauna, Joan's siblings: Ralph (Crystal) Petersen, Keith (Linda) Petersen and Alvin (Roni) Petersen as well as many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joan's parents, Elzear and Ellanora Petersen, brother Eugene Borg, sister Maribeth (Gary) Roehrborn and brother-in-law Gerald Wickesberg.

Funeral Service for Dennis will be on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 4:00pm at Bethany Lutheran Church, 124 W. 10th Street in Kaukauna. Family and friends may gather on Thursday at the church from 1:00pm to 3:45pm. Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Kaukauna. A special thank you to Joan's brother, Keith Petersen for all the support you have given. Also, a special thank you to The MOB and the thousands too many to mention of family and friends who have offered caring support. Thank you to Dr. Greg Johnson, Dr. Jennifer Schoening and Dr. Jennifer Baumgart.

In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund will be established. Donations will be forwarded to Bethany Lutheran Church.
