- Funeral Services were held Saturday, January 26, at 10:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Louis Heyrman, 84, of rural Munishing. Rev Gary Jacobs officiated and burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery here.Mr Heyrman died Thursday, Jan 24, at Munishing Hospital after Six day illness.He was born in Green Bay, WI on November 26, 1889, but had lived in Munising and Alger County area for the past 68 years.Mr Heyrman was self-employed as a dairy farmer in Munising from1930 to 1982. He had the best pasteurizing plant in the Munisingarea.Active in the community, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Alger County Historical Society.Survivors are two sons, Frank, Jr., and Peter, both of Munising;four sisters - Mrs Henry (Nettie) Vanden Avond, Mrs. Peter(Florence) Holl, Mrs Arthur (Carrie) Phillips and Mrs Peter(Kate) Rentmeester, all of Green Bay; two brothers Alphonse and Martin Heyrman, both of Green Bay. He also leaves 18grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and several neices and nephews. Mr. Heyrman's wife, Anna, died on December 29, 1970.
