Haessly, Carol
Carol Haessly, 80, formerly of Kaukauna, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at Franciscan Care Center after a long illness. She was born March 5, 1927, to the late Herbert and Marie (Rieth) Haessly in Kaukauna, Wis. Carol worked as an RN at the Medical Arts Clinic in Appleton, and later for Affinity Health System until her retirement in 1992. She was an active and longtime member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Kaukauna Community Health Associates. Carol enjoyed golfing, bowling and the adventures of traveling throughout the world as well as a good game of cards. Many close friends and family will miss her.
She is survived by her brother, Paul Haessly; her sister, Joan Alibrando; two nephews, Patrick (special friend, Cheryl Roberts) Alibrando and Thomas (Julie) Alibrando.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Joseph Alibrando.
Carol's Mass of Christian Burial will be at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Marty Fox officiating. Friends will be received on Tuesday at the church from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Carol's name or directed to a charity of your choice. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home is assisting the family. 920-766-2099.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Franciscan Care Center, especially Unit 3 for all the love, care and compassion they gave Carol over the years.
