- Brian J. Schmidt 188 S. County Road Y Hatley Age 35, died unexpectedly Sunday evening, October 3, 1999. He was born November 27, 1963, to Thomas R. and Mary Ann Schmidt in Appleton and following high school he served with the U.S.
Army. Brian had been a resident of Bevent for over 10 years where he was employed by Sulzer Machine and Manufacturing. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting pool and darts. Brian was a former member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Survivors include five children, Thomas, James, Heather, Amber and Christopher Schmidt a special friend, Wendy Brooks his parents, Thomas R. and Mary Ann Schmidt, Pella four sisters and brothers-in-law, Dr. Carleen and Dave Wassenaar, Menomonee Falls Linda and Dave Arend, New Berlin Diana and Tom Tapelt, Annandale, Minnesota Bonnie and Len Jastroch, Hartland a brother, Bruce Schmidt, Appleton many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Brian will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 6, 1999, at the funeral home with Deacon Craig Merrick officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A prayer and scripture service will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday.
