Notes - Leon Fischer, 93, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016. Leon was born on December 22, 1922 to Andrew and Elsie (Plutz) Fischer in Black Creek. He was a veteran having served in the US Army during WWII. Leon married Pearl Meiers and she preceded him in death. He worked for many years as a general contractor and real estate developer.
Leon is survived by his children; Connie (Chuck) Fritsch, Barbara (Vern) Frahm, and Terry (Sharon) Fischer, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, two brothers; Armon (Alta) Fischer, and Milton Fischer, and friends Patrick and Barbara Leitermann of Gillett, whom he lived with for 32 years, other relatives and friends.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Pearl, a grandson Kevin Fritsch, a great great granddaughter Adelyn Frahm, a brother Clemence (Marge) Fischer, and a sister-in-law Irma Fischer.
The funeral liturgy for Leon will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 10:30 AM at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 W. Lawrence St. with Fr. Jim Leary,O.F.M. Cap. officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the church.
