    • Post-crescent,20 Aug 1942: George A Mischler, 75, 1301 E South River street died in Appleton last night after a 4-year illness. He was born in Appleton 13 Sep 1866 & lived here all his life. Survivers are the widow, 4 daughters Mrs Harry Langman, Mrs Arthur Stephany, Mrs Henry Verhoeven, & Mrs George Scanlan, 4 sons George, Lawrence, John, & Frank, 32 grand-children, & 6 great grand-children.
      Funeral services will be held at 8 AM Saturday morning at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in St Joseph cemetery. The cortege will form at 7:30 AM at Schommer Funeral Home where the body may be viewed after 7 PM this evening & where the rosary will be recited at 8 PM tonight & Friday night.
