    Helen Magdalen Seidl, aged 77, passed away on January 11, 2025, in Appleton, WI. Born on February 22, 1947, to John and Mary (Munes) Baker. Helen dedicated many years to a fulfilling career, starting in 1965 at Zwickers Knitting Mills, then moving to Jansport, where she not only contributed significantly but also formed a lifelong friendship with her colleague Jan. Together, they embarked on numerous adventures, including a memorable trip to Nepal. After retiring from Jansport in 2000, Helen joined Kohls from 08/22/2007 through 06/01/2019 to stay active, where she met more friends, including Marcella, who enriched her life. On July 7, 1989 Helen married Raymond Seidl and shared 35 wonderful years together.

    Her passion for life was evident in her love of horses, gardening, family and friends, and her daily walks, which kept her vibrant and engaged.

    She leaves behind a loving husband, Raymond Seidl; and her children: Chris (Cary) Hanson, Dawn Johnson, Audra (Mike) Barchlett, Jodi Dalton (fiancé Rick Fritschka), Donald (Kay) Patrick, and Raymond (Kathy) Seidl. Sister to Rose Misco, Lillian Baker, and Clifford Baker; sister-in-law to Chuck (Betty) Seidl and Bob Seidl. She is further survived by good friends: Patty Kuepper and Ralph and Betty Koehnke. Her legacy continues through her many grandchildren: Brandon (Sara), Ashley (Kelly), Nicole, Jeremiah (Mandie), Dana, Matt (Alli), Jessica, Adam, Cody (Caitlin), Damian (Katherine), Amber, Ashton (Hope), Christian, Rachel, Kailyn, Aidan, and Alissa; great-grandchildren: Hannah, Bradi, Keagan, Mason, Vivian, Weston, Lincoln, Garrison, Parker, Hazelee, Alaina, Jameson, Brynlee, and Ellerie; as well as many nieces, and nephews, who will miss her deeply.

    Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her sons: Brian and Craig Seidl; brothers: Donald, Gerald, and Arthur Baker; sister, Carol Zable; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Richard (Esther) Seidl, Doris (Donny) Julius, Mary Ellen Seidl, and Patty Seidl.

    She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

    A visitation for Helen will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna. A Funeral Mass will be held the following day on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church-Darboy, W2806 Cty Rd KK, Appleton, at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at the church at 10:00 a.m. and will continue until the time of the Mass. Helen will be laid to rest in Holy Angels Cemetery.
