Notes - Henry Kinne1 born May 3, 1624; died June 6, 1712 at Salem, aged 88 yr. 1 mo. 3 da.; came from Holland to Salem, Mass., where he settled on a farm 1665. It is believed he was born in Norfolk, Eng., where his father, Sir Thomas Kinne, lived, having been knighted by the gov't. for some signal service rendered it; and that following the tide of emigration thru?? Holland where they sought greater religious liberty, but found less than the fullest freedom. Henry came to Salem at about 30 yrs. of age. He was a prosperous farmer and was employed to some extent in ecclesiastical work; was a soldier under Major Sedwick 1654.
Henry Kinne married 1st May 3, 1650 Ann Howard, b. about 1632 in England, was living in 1680. He married 2nd Anne Lane. (Lamont-Eldredge Family Records, page 136)
