- Age 81, Menasha, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Rennes Health Center. He was born September 10, 1927 in Appleton, Wisconsin, son of the late Orin A. and Mina (Van Heuklon) Hendricks. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married Mary Ann Welhouse on December 17, 1950; she preceded him in death in 1998. Dick was a truck driver for Badger Ready Mix for over 30 years.
Dick is survived by his children: Chris (Lorna) Hendricks of Menasha, Keith (Nancy) Hendricks of Gilbert, AZ, Mary Ann (Tom) Gloede of Menasha, James (Peggy) Hendricks of Omro, Eric (Stephanie) Hendricks of Menasha, Cathy (Michael) Rippey of Corral de Tierra, CA, and Mike (Debi) Hendricks of Clayton; sister, Carol (Ken) Kositzke of Appleton; 15 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Dick is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann; sisters: Ruth, Thelma, Iva and Mary; and brothers: Ben, Roger and Karl.
A funeral service for Dick will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Appleton, with Fr. Michael ORourke officiating. Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Appleton. Visitation will be 3:30
6:30 pm, Monday, May 4, 2009 at St. Mary Catholic Church, and again on Wednesday, May 6 from 9:30 am until the time of service at church.
A memorial fund has been established.
