      Age 67, died peacefully Thursday, February 26, 1987 at his home. He was born March 28, 1919. He had farmed in the Town of VandenBroek until his retirement in 1977. He ran a Mrs. the VandenBroek Card Club, and a member of the VandenBroek Fire Department from 1947 until 1978 in which he obtained the rank of Chief. Survivors include his wife, Cornelia (VerVoort) Coenen, to whom he was married for 42 years; four daughters and sons-in-law: Delores and Carl Frehlich, Wrightstown; Marlene and Nick Brittnacher, Irene and Bruce George, Diane and Bob Fox, all of Kaukauna; four sons and three daughters-in-law: Ken and Cori Coenen, Appleton; Carl and Joan Coenen, Mark Coenen, Paul Coenen, Katie Coenen, and a future daughter-in-law: Brenda Kempen, all of Kaukauna; two sisters: Mrs. Stephen (Clara) Diedrick, Little Chute; Mrs. Louis (Mathilda) Conrad, New London; two brothers: Elmer Coenen, Eagle River; Robert Coenen, Hollandtown. Urban was the loving grandfather of Cheryl and Craig Frelich, Julie, Lisa, Sally and Alan Coenen, Tina, Mike, Jenny, Shelly, Lori, and Greg Brittnacher, Chris, Ann and Lee Coenen, Jason, Curt, Todd, and Scott Coenen, April and Brian George, Nicholas, Pat, and Andrew Fox. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons: Merle and Earl; two sisters: Mrs. Peter (Lucy) Diedrick, Mrs. William (Barbara) Van Groll; two brothers: Norbert and Otto Coenen. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday from St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Paul Radetski officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery.
