      John De Groot 105 Prospect St. Combined Locks

      Age 81, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday. He was born in Little Chute, April 2, 1889 and was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Golden Agers, of Combined Locks.

      Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Sherwood [Ella] DeWees, Mrs. Maurice [Theresa] Sanders, both of California, Mrs. William [Evelyn] Riley, Mrs. Mary Lou Beavers, both of Appleton; five sons, Morris, Texas, Larry, Paul, both of Kimberly, Jack, Waupaca, Eugene, Combined Locks; four brothers, Frank, Appleton, Henry, Simon, Theodore, all of Little Chute; three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Verhagen, Little Chute, Mrs. Martin Vosters, Appleton, Marie Retzlaff, California; 36 grandchildren; six great grandchildren.

      He was preceded in death by his wife, a daughter, and two sons. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday morning at St. Paul Catholic Church, Combined Locks, with interment in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Jansen Funeral Home, Kimberly, from 2 until 9:30 p.m. and the wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday evening.
