Steffens, Robert
Robert Steffens, "Honda Bob", 60, Appleton, passed away as result of a motorcycle accident. Aug. 30, 2007. He was born in Appleton on March 13, 1947, to the late Fred and Jeannetta (Probst) Steffens. Bob proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam War.
He is survived by his brothers, Wally Steffens, John (Alice) Steffens, Earl Steffens, Neil (Nancy) Steffens and Donald (Sandy) Steffens; sisters, Ruth (Howard) Steffens and Alice (Ray) Noffke; stepchildren, Chad Gruenstern and Tracy Tepe; special friend, Carol Fleischman.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rosemary and brother, Cyril; sisters-in-law, Alice Steffens and Ruth Steffens.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 4, 2007, at the Valley Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. until the time of services. Military honors will follow the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.

Robert Steffens, "Honda Bob", 60, Appleton, passed away as result of a motorcycle accident Aug. 30, 2007. He was born in Appleton on March 13, 1947, to the late Fred and Jeannetta (Probst) Steffens. Bob proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam War. He retired happily from Appleton Papers in 2002. Bob was a active member of ABATE and loved to travel everywhere by motorcycle and camped wherever he went.
He is survived by his brothers, Wally Steffens, John (Alice) Steffens, Earl Steffens, Neil (Nancy) Steffens and Donald (Sandy) Steffens; sisters, Ruth (Howard) Schwamer and Alice (Ray) Noffke; children, Chad (Jeri) Gruenstern and Stacie (Brian) Jones; grandchildren, Zachary, Alex and Dylan Pepe; Lucas and Brianna Gruenstern; special friend, Carol Fleischman and her children and grandchildren. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
