- Death Claims Former Local Man Tuesday
Anton Hendricks Dies at Antigo Hospital Tuesday Following Operation
Anton Hendricks, 56 years of age, for many years a well-known business man of this city, died in an Antigo hospital Tuesday evening at 10 o'clock following an operation for appendicitis and gall stones which was performed Saturday.
Mr. Hendricks was born and raised in this section and was the owner of a saloon in this city for many years. In 1920, the family moved on a farm about five miles from Antigo on route 1, and had lived there since. He had been ailing for some time before his death.
He is survived by his widow; four daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Hagany of Antigo, Mrs. Clarence White of Mattoon, and Dorothy and Lucille at home; five sons, Walter of Appleton, Leonard, Frank and Anthony atome, and Ralph of Milwaukee; three sisters, Mrs. John Esler, Mrs. John Giesbers and Mrs. Jacob Gertz of this city; two brothers, Joseph Hendricks of Appleton and Henry Hendricks of Niagara.
Funeral services were held this morning at 9 o'clock from the St. John's Catholic church at Antigo with Rev. Dean C. Saile in charge of the requiem high mass. Burial was in Antigo Catholic cemetery.
Members of the Moose and Eagles lodges of this city, with which organizations the late Mr. Hendricks was affiliated, were present at the last rights.

Hold Funeral Services for Late Anton Hendricks from Antigo Church
Many Kaukauna people were in Antigo Friday morning attending the last rites for the late Anton Hendricks, 56 years of age, former resident of this city, who died in an Antigo hospital Tuesday evening following an operation. Funeral services were held Friday morning at 8:45 from the St. John's Catholic church with Rev. D. C. Saile in charge of the requiem high mass. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery in that city. Pall bearers were Walter Hendricks, Leonard Hendricks, Ralph Hendricks, Lawrence Hagany, Frank Hendricks and Clarence Weix.
Among local people who attended the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. John Giesbers, George Giesbers, Joseph Giesbers, R. H. McCarty, Mrs. John Schuh, Joseph Dietzler, John Coppes, Peter Verbockel, Mrs. Jacob Gertz, Mrs. Ed Bauers, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Esler, Frank Gertz and Joseph Steffen.
The late Mr. Hendricks was a resident of this section until ten years ago when he moved with his family to Antigo, the family residing on a farm about five miles from the city.
