Reider, Richard R. "Rich" Richard Reider of Kimberly, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006, at Appleton Medical Center at the age of 82. He was born May 30, 1923, in Little Chute, the son of the late Raymond and Susan (Hammen) Reider. Rich married Margaret Peeters on Sept. 10, 1946, at St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute and she preceded him in death on Oct. 21, 1981. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the European Theater. Richard was a pipefitter at Kimberly-Clark - Kimberly Mill retiring after many years of service. He was a former member of the Kimberly Volunteer Fire Department and the William Verhagen Post 60 of the American Legion in Kimberly. Rich was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Kimberly and the Harvey Pierre VFW Post 2778 of Appleton. Rich is survived by his daughters: Judy (Michael) Borg and Carol (Terry) Olmstead, both of Appleton; six grandchildren: Sean and Bonnie Borg; Lorin (Shannon) Blowers; Tyler, Danielle and Tiffany Olmstead; three great-grandchildren: Randi and Cody Blowers and DJ Olmstead; brothers-in-law: Jim (Ida) Peeters. Little Chute, Jerry (Joanne) Peeters. Neenah, Fr. Ambrose Peeters. DePere, Henry "Fritz" (Mary) Peeters. Kalamazoo, MI and Pete (Aggie) Peeters. Kalamazoo, MI; sisters-in-law: Doris Heiss of Appleton and Joanne Peeters. Kalamazoo, MI; nephews: Mike (Linda) and Tom (Cheryl) Reider both of Minneapolis, MN. He is further survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, including his special friends at Hallmark Place. Richard was preceded in death by his wife Margaret, brother Donald (Katie) Reider and brothers and sisters-in-law. The funeral liturgy for Rich will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, Jan. 9, 2006, at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, 600 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly, with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Interment will take place at Holy Name Cemetery with military honors by the William Verhagen American Legion Post 60. Friends may call at the Church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in his name.
