- Lorna L. Kuehl, age 84, passed into eternal glory, and into the loving arms of her Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven. She was born on March 5, 1930 in Appleton, Wisconsin, and raised in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Theodore and Eva (Grebe) Boettcher. Lorna attended Trinity Lutheran School in Kaukauna and graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1947 with honors. On September 19, 1953 she married James F. Kuehl at Bethel Lutheran Church in Menasha. Their marriage was blessed with two daughters and sixty wonderful years. Lorna was a very faithful Christian woman. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Neenah where she was involved with several ladies groups. She was also a member of the Menasha Dance Club, a Past President of the Fox Valley Symphony League where she earned a Brava Award, and also served on the Board for the Fox Valley Symphony Association, earning another Brava Award. Lorna loved golfing, ballroom dancing, tending to her flower garden, traveling, river cruising, fine dining, playing the piano and singing hymns. She was very fashion-conscious woman who loved pretty shoes. Above all, she loved the time she spent with her husband, daughters, and grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, James; her daughters, Karen Blohm, Neenah, Dianne (Robert) LaBore, Woodbury, MN; grandchildren: Rachel (Edward) Maloney, Appleton, Lisa (Michael) Zuelsdorf, Darboy, Brett and Bryce LaBore, Woodbury, MN; brother, Rodney (Patricia) Boettcher, Milwaukee; sister Leah (David) Barr, Warrenville, IL; other relatives and friends.
The Christian Funeral for Lorna will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church (407 Oak Street, Neenah) with Rev. Tony L. McKenzie officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lorna's name may be given to the Trinity Lutheran Church (Neenah) Memorial Fund or to the WELS World Relief and Missions.
