    Jean Vander Bloomen, age 93, passed away, March 4, 2023, at home surrounded by her family.

    She was born on October 9, 1929, in Madison, daughter of the late Norman and Hattie (Lambrecht) Servaes. Jean graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1947. She was united in marriage to Frederick (Fritz) Vander Bloomen, the love of her life, on October 20, 1951.
    Jean worked at AAL (Thrivent Financial) from 1947 until 1952.

    Jean was a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, and aunt. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the great-grandchildren. Jean like to shop, and rummage sale, always looking for a good bargain. She enjoyed going to the casino, especially with Fritz, and often came home a winner. Jean enjoyed going out to eat and especially like her sweets.

    Jean was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kaukauna, Wisconsin.

    Jean will be lovingly remembered and truly missed by her daughter Lori Welhouse (Greg) of Kaukauna; granddaughters: Alicia Welhouse of Denver, Mindy (Scott) Baker of Kaukauna, and Tracy Vander Bloomen (Eli Perez) of Kaukauna; great-grandchildren: Robbie, Jamiee, and Carlee Baker; Penelope, and Juniper Perez; and daughter-in-law Sue (Michael) Allgeyer. Jean is further survived by her wonderful nieces and nephews.

    Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frederick “Fritz” Vander Bloomen in 2008, sons, James Vander Bloomen in 1996 and Dale Vander Bloomen in 2022; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Floyd and Richie Vander Bloomen, Gerald (Marie) Vanden Bloomen, Alice (Bob) Nack, Carol (Lawrence) Van Cuyk, Jane (Emil) St. John, Alma (Tony) Gazzanna, Joan (Joseph) Lewandowski, and Lucille Hopfensperger.

    The Christian Funeral Service for Jean will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Fargo Funeral Home, located at 400 W. Wisconsin Avenue in Kaukauna, with Rev. Stanley Draper of Trinity Lutheran Church in Kaukauna officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.

    The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the many caring people who watched over her through the years, especially Dr. Danz and Dr. Schoening. We will never forget your kindness.
