Hermes, Sandra L. "Sandy" Sandra L. Hermes "Sandy," age 61, Menasha, passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 5, 2007. Sandy was born July 26, 1945, in Oshkosh, the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Zenisck) Gibson. She married David Hermes, Sr. on June 10, 1967, at St. John Catholic Church in Menasha. She had been employed for over 30 years at SCA Tissue, retiring in 2006. Sandy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching the Packers, NASCAR and she enjoyed taking gambling trips. Sandy was a member of the Sherwood Red Hat Club.
Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, David Hermes, Sr.; her children; David, Jr. (Terri) Hermes, Darboy; Scott (Christine) Hermes, Menasha; and Michelle Hermes, Menasha. She is further survived by four grandchildren: Cory, Gabriella, Madelyn and Brandon; a brother; Gerald (Karen) Gibson, Neenah; two sisters: Virginia (Jerome) Baer, Neenah and Shirley (Wayne) Hoelzel, Menasha.
Sandy was preceded in death by her brother David (Doris) Dettlaff, a sister Sharon Gibson.
Funeral services for Sandy will be held on Monday, June 11, 2007, at the Martens-Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee St., Menasha, at 7 p.m. with Deacon Jerry Cross officiating. Family and friends will be received on Monday at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the hour of services.
