      Age 87, died Saturday, March 18, 1995 at a local nursing home. She was born Dec. 4, 1907 in Ord, Neb. daughter of the late Edward and Ida Albers, Gertrude married Leslie Richter in Dubuque Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1967. Following her marriage she was employed as a foreman for Kimberly-Clark Corp. in Kimberly for 20 years, after the birth of her son, she worked as a cook at Jake Skall's Colonial Wonder Bar and George's Steak House. Later she managed the cafeteria at James Madison Junior High School until her retirement in 1969. Her greatest Joys in life came from spending time with her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren, with whom she made her home. Survivors include her son James (Lyn) Richter, Apple ton; two grandchildren, James Richter II and Dana Richter; a sister-in law Geraldine Albers, Kimberly; three nieces, and six nephews She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Orval, Floyd, Paul; a sister, Leora; and one niece and one nephew. Complete funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday March 21, 1995 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior St., with Rev Willis Bloedow officiating. Intermit will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call Monday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the services. A memorial fund in Gertrude's name has been established.
