- Frances E. Heineman, 100, previously of Sheboygan, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at Pine Haven Christian Home.
Frances was born January 11, 1911 in Kaukauna, to the late Theodore and Frances (Jansen) Ellsworth. She graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1929, and attended Lawrence University in Appleton. On June 27, 1935 she married Alban Gerend DDS at Holy Cross Church in Kaukauna. Together the couple moved to Sheboygan where Alban had his dental practice. He preceded her in death May 8, 1958. She then married Harold Heineman on June 30, 1967. He preceded her in death December 22, 1983.
Frances was a member of St. Clement Catholic Parish for many years. She was also involved with St. Nicholas Auxiliary, Kohler Arts Foundation, the Sheboygan County Historical Society Board, and friends of Mead Library. She also excelled in playing bridge, competing in area tournaments.
She is survived by her daughters Ann (Kenton) Williams of Willard, WI, and Frances "Frankie"(Marvin) Mengeling of Oshkosh, WI, her grandchildren; Steven Williams, Thomas Mengeling and Brenda (Michael Goodson) Mengeling. She was preceded in death by her brother Cleon Ellsworth.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Frances Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Reverend Michael Dineen will be the Celebrant. Friends may call at church on Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow services at Calvary Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
