- Lauren C. Spoehr, age 81, Shiocton, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, November 25, 2011. Lauren was born on November 6, 1930, in New London son of the late Wilford and Olga (Hansen) Spoehr. He was united in marriage to Theresa Balthazor on June 9, 1951, in Appleton. She preceded him in death in 2008. Lauren worked for 35 years at Neenah Foundry. He was very athletic, and in his earlier years was an excellent boxer. He enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Lauren is survived by his daughter, Lois (William) Schmoll, Black Creek; son, Thomas (Diane) Spoehr, Appleton; a brother, Milton (Mary) Spoehr, Berlin. Four grandchildren, Jerry (Connie) Schmoll; Jennifer Spoehr; Laura (Ralph) Wettengel; and Robert Schmoll; three great grandchildren, Derek, Kolton and Kayla. He is further survived by numerous bother in-laws, sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and two sons, Jerry and Carlton.
Funeral services for Lauren will be held on Monday, November 28, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home, Shiocton with Rev. Jan C. Bast-Dalebroux officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Shiocton-Bovina Cemetery. Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home
