- Paul "Pauly" Kimps, 58, found peace, Wednesday morning, June 6, 2012, at home. Born June 3, 1954, in Green Bay, he is the son of the late Edwin and Mary (VerHaagh) Kimps. Paul is a graduate of East High School. He married Mary Allard on July 25, 1974, at Saints Peter and Paul Church. Paul is a long-time employee of JBS, formerly Packerland Packing. He will be remembered for his enjoyment of the outdoors, including fishing and hunting, spending time up-north, and also for his woodworking. Paul was very proud of his family, especially his children and he cherished the special bond that he had with his foster-brother, Ron Grunniwaldt.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; one son, Brian Kimps; one daughter, Michelle Kimps; two granddaughters, Jocelyn and Sahria; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane and Larry VanEss all of Green Bay and Sue and Bill Gleffe, Jr. of Townsend; one foster brother and spouse, Ron and Brenda Grunniwaldt of Green Bay; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation at MALCORE (East) Funeral Home, University Avenue at Baird Street, Monday, June 11, from 4-8pm. Parish wake service at 7pm Monday at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning, June 12, from 9am until the time of the funeral. Funeral service 11am Monday at the funeral home with Deacon Michael C. Vincent officiating.
