    • Uphill (Long), Lucille J.

      Lucille J. Uphill (Long), 87, Crivitz, died Monday, January 28, 2013. She was born July 15, 1925, to Anton and Denia (Ver Haagh) Vanden Langenberg.

      Lucille worked at the Green Bay Press-Gazette, in the Circulation Dept. She married Robert Uphill on February 19, 1944, and he preceded her in death on March 27, 1977. She later married Lloyd Long on May 11, 1990. Lucille was past President of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was one of the founding families of the Twin Bridge Ski Team. She enjoyed watching her daughters and grandchildren perform with the ski team. Lucille also enjoyed playing cards, hunting, fly fishing, bowling, snowmobiling, Friday nights at Rene's. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at Popp's Trailer Park.

      Lucille is survived by her husband, Lloyd; her children and their spouses, Sandy (Ken) Thomas, Pat (Bill) Jacobson; her grandchildren, Nicki Thomas, Michael Thomas, Katie Thomas, Amanda Baeten, Amy Jacobson, Alyssa Jacobson; her brother and his wife, Marvin (Martha) Vanden Langenberg. She is further survived by three stepdaughters, a stepson, and many step-grand and great-grandchildren.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and a daughter, Susan.

      Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Friends may also call at Annunciation Catholic Church, 401 Gray St., from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with Rev. Ryan Krueger officiating. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.       In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lucille's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
