- My Great Grandpa Bill Gloudemans was vice president and president of Little Chute Lumber and Fuel Company. The materials they had there were cabinet doors, window frames, window screens, lumber, cement, sand, and coal. My Great Grandma Florence Gloudemans was secretary of the lumber yard.

Gloudemans, William J. "Bill" William J. "Bill" Gloudemans, Little Chute, age 91, died Tuesday April 17, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Little Chute on April 23, 1915, to the late Henry and Harriet "Hattie" (Vosters) Gloudemans. Hattie died when Bill was 9 years old. A few years later, Henry married Elizabeth (Molitor) Schumacher. Their union made Bill one of 15 children. Bill was united in marriage to Florence Vandehey and enjoyed 60 wonderful years of marriage together. He worked on the family farm in his younger years. In 1947, he and two of his brothers joined their father at Little Chute Supply Co., a local coal, lumber and materials supply company. He worked his way up from a laborer to the president of Little Chute Supply Co.
Bill will be sadly missed by his five children: Rose (Norm) Coenen, Grand Chute; Jerry (Mary) Gloudemans, Little Chute; Pat (Jerry) Van Hoof, Combined Locks; Tom Gloudemans, Stevens Point; and Bill (Carole) Gloudemans, Appleton; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; his brother, Anthony "Tony" Gloudemans; sisters-in-law: Valeria and Jackie Gloudemans, Eunice Sanderfoot, Mary (Ken) Robl and Lenore Stuyvenberg; brother-in-law, Ted Van Handel; and step sister-in-law, Margaret Schumacher. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife Florence on October 30, 1998; his infant granddaughter, Mary Ann Van Hoof; brothers: John (Margaret), Joe, Rich and Peter Gloudemans; sisters: Elizabeth "Lizzie" Van Handel, Ann (Willis) Schumacher, Martha (Elmer) Diedrick and Mary (twin of Peter) Gloudemans; step brothers and sisters: Marjorie (Bernie) Meulemans, Marion (Joe) Wilz, Bob, Willis (Ann), Ed (Millie) and Elizabeth "Toots" Schumacher; sisters and brothers-in-law: Verna Gloudemans, Agnes (Leonard) Holzer, Don (Martha and Myrtle), Glen (Bertha) and Herman (Ethel) Vandehey, Ken Stuyvenberg, Ray Sanderfoot, Rose (Leo) Kroner and Lucille (Walter) Vosters.
The Funeral Mass of Celebration will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 23, 2007, Dad's 92nd birthday, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute, with Rev. James Hablewitz officiating. Friends may call Monday after 3 p.m. until the time of Mass directly at church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
Bill's family would like to thank the Affinity Hospice nurses Astra and Jean Marie, Dr. Goggins, Chaplain Neety at St. Elizabeth Hospital and especially his faithful neighbors Randy and Kathy.
