    • Roberta N. Servais, 89, Green Bay, passed away on April 8, 2011. Roberta was born on July 4, 1921, in New Franken, to the late John and Mary (Peters) Basten. She was a graduate of East High School in Green Bay. On July 10, 1940, she married Lawrence M. Servais and they enjoyed over 70 years of marriage. She loved baking and any visitors to her home were not allowed to go away hungry.

      She is survived by her husband, Lawrence; children, Bonnie (James) Shepeck, Schaumburg, Ill.; Bob (Sandy) Servais, New Franken; Sharon (special friend, Tom Artz) Strebel, Green Bay; Patti (special friend, Pat Tourtillott) Servais, Oconto; Judy (Mike) De Groot, Oneida; Larry (Annette) Servais Jr., Green Bay; Jeanne (Mitch) Vanden Bergh, Green Bay; and Daniel Servais, Green Bay; 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends.

      She was preceded in death by one grandson, Benjamin De Groot; one sister, Marie Basten; and six brothers, Henry, Donald, Arnold, Elmer, Carl and Fritz Basten.

      Friends may call at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 3425 Willow Road, Green Bay on Monday from 9 to 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at church with Fr Ron Belitz officiating. Entombment at Shrine of the Good Shepherd at Nicolet Memorial Gardens. Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 468-4111 is assisting the family with arrangements.
