Mr. Diedrich also had charge of the construction work on one of the big paper mill dams in the town of Plover. He also carried on similar work at Biron, Nekoosa, and Mosinee and is credited with constructing dams at DePere, Combined Locks, Little Chute, Appleton, and Menasha, all in the Fox river valley. He built dams at Sauk Rapids and Sartell on the Mississippi, in Michigan and in Colorado. His last work before becoming blind was the preliminary work on the Wissota dam at Chippawa Falls.
