      John Ver Boort, aged 84 years, 9 months and 13 days, died Monday at his home in the town of Vandenbroek, after a short illness from heart disease. Mr. Ver Boot had been ailing for over a year and has been quite feeble a long while with the infirmity of age. The deceased and his bachelor son, Martin, lived together on the farm on the Kaukauna and Vandenbroeck town line for the past 28 years. Mrs. Ver Boort has been dead about 30 years, dying at DePere where the family lived for some time before they came to Kaukauna. Mr. Ver Boort came here from Holland nearly 40 years ago settling first with his family at DePere. Surviving are his two sons, Martin at home and John Ver Boort of this city, who is employed at the Thilmany Pulp and Paper mill as a mechanic.

      The funeral was held from Holy Cross church at nine o'clock Wednesday morning. Father P. J. Lochman officiating, with interment at Holy Cross cemetery.
