    • Donald J. Horkman, 81, Dyckesville died early Monday morning, Sept. 8, 2014, at Jack and Ingrid Meng Unity Residence in De Pere. He was born April 26, 1933, in the town of Humboldt to the late Frank and Angeline (Lathauer) Horkman. On Oct. 3, 1956, he married Joan A. Maus in Ohio. Donald served in the United States Army in 1954 and was a member of the American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262, Luxemburg. He was employed with the Proctor and Gamble Co. in Green Bay until his retirement. His enjoyments included spending time at the cottage, spending time with his grandchildren four wheeling, bike riding, fishing, snowmobiling, walks with his dog Sunny and riding his Harley, which he inherited from his son Gary.

      Survivors include his wife of nearly 57 years Joan, and their daughters, Pamela (James) Gigot, De Pere; Brenda (Randal) Sibilsky, Algoma; Bobbie Jo (Kurt) Van Den Plas, Kewaunee; three grandchildren, Garrett Gigot, Grant Gigot and Gabrielle Gigot; three step-grandchildren, Amanda, Breanna and Courtney Van Den Plas; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Elmer Horkman, New Franken; Walter and Marcella Horkman, Green Bay; four brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law, Darold (Jamie) Maus, Green Bay; Andrew (Bonnie) Maus, Appleton; Charles (Barbara) Maus, Green Bay; Donna Leurquin, Suring; Diane (Gerald) Canfield, MN.

      Donald was preceded in death by, one son, Gary Horkman; five brothers, Henry (Marge) Horkman, Arthur (Emma) Horkman, Marvin Horkman, Bernard Horkman, Wilbert (Gloria) Horkman.

      Friends may call at St. John Lutheran Church, 700 Heritage Road, Luxemburg, 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014. Funeral 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with Rev. Carl Brewer officiating. Full Military Rites at the church with the American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262, Luxemburg. Entombment in the Shrine of The Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
