    • Antoinette "Ann" D. Schmitt, (nee Brehmer), Hilbert, age 80, died on Thursday, March 28, 2013 in Brillion. Ann was born on January 20, 1933 in Abrams, WI, daughter of Carl and Mildred (Vanden Busch) Brehmer. She married Roger Schmitt on September 12, 1953 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Appleton. Together they raised five children. Ann enjoyed gardening, needlepoint and crocheting. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

      She is survived by her husband, Roger; four daughters: Sandra (Roman) Giese, Sharon Fredrick, Laura (Randy) Purifoy and Julie (Glen) Schaffer; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Schmitt; ten grandchildren: Chelsea (Jason) Crubaugh, Michelle (Peter) Yurek, Matt (Christa) Giese, Justin Schmitt, Andrew Fredrick, Damarr Purifoy, Lexie Schaffer, Adam Schmitt, Jordan Fredrick, and Bryson Schaffer; four great-grandchildren: Stella and Micah Crubaugh, Liam and Caleigh Yurek. She will also be greatly missed by two brothers: Ken (Ruth) Brehmer and David (Rose) Brehmer; three sisters: Joyce Hopfensperger, Carol (Marv) Smits and Violet (Bill) Vincent; two sisters-in-law: Gerry Brehmer and Betty Brehmer; and a very special friend, Shirley Horn.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Douglas, three brothers: Wesley, Roger, and Henry; a sister, Viola; a son-in-law, Bruce Fredrick, and a brother-in-law, Donald Hopfensperger.

      The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at ST. JOHN CATHOLIC CHURCH, St. John with Fr. Michael Betley officiating. Friends and family will receive at church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Ann's name. www.boettcherfamilyfuneral.com
