    • Gonnering. John "Jack" 1995 Appleton Post Crescent dated 2/27/1995; John "Jack" Gonnering, age 73, died Sunday February 26th, 1995. He was the son of the late John and Catherine (Verstegen) Gonnering. He was born October 17th, 1921 in Freedom. He was a retired farmer and livestock dealer in the Freedom area. He was a member of the St. Nicholas Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name society. Survivors include five sons: Jim and Mary, of Kaukauna; Richard and Laura, Michael and Patty, Gary and Ethel, David and Marcella, all of Freedom; four brothers: William and Dorothy, Eugene and Mary, Donald and Lois, Orville and Sharon, all of Freedom; three sisters: Lorainne and Clarence Vanden Berg, Rosie and Donald Stofel, Pat and Jerry Kittiko, all of Freedom; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine and a sister, Adele VanEperen. Funeral services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday February 28th, 1995 from St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom with Rev. Dennis Ryan officiating. Internment will be in the parish cemetery.
