Mrs. Quintin De Bruin [Johanna M. Artz] 4939 N. Meade St., Appleton
Age 71, loving wife, mother, and grandmother died early Friday morning, March 30, 1990, after a lengthy illness at the Franciscan Care Center. She was born August 14, 1918, the daughter of the late Lambert and Johanna Artz in Aberdeen, South Dakota. She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers Society, and was also very active in area 4-H and in both Boy and Girs Scout organizations.
Survivors include her husband, Quintin, of 41 years; three daughters; Jeanne [Norbert Protsman, Aurora, Colorado; Terri [Mark] Coenen, Appleton; Joyce [Dale] Geske, Darboy; two sons; David [Ann] De Bruin, Appleton; Donald [Joy] De Bruin, Appleton; a brother, Lawrence [Margaret] Artz, Kimberly; and a sister, Marie Yeoman, Aberdeen, South Dakota. She is further survived by 12 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and very dear friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, and two sisters. The funeral mass for Johanna will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 2, 1990, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1825 N. McDonald, with Rev. Gerald Falk officiating. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton, Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., on Sunday evening from 4 to 8 p.m. and also on Monday morning from 8 a.m. until the cortege leaves for the church. A prayer and scriptural rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Donations may be made to Parkinson's Foundation or St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
