Age 68, died Wednesday, April 28, 1993 after a brief illness. Quintin was born on March 30, 1925 in Little Chute. Quintin was a founding parishioner of the St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Appleton where he participated in many church activities. He was also involved in working with the Boy Scout Organization. Quintin's love of the outdoors was reflected in his favorite hobbies of gardening and woodworking which he shared with his friends and family. Quintin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend and neighbor.
He will be deeply missed by his three daughers; Jeanne [Norbert] Protsman, Ridgetop, Tennessee; Terri [Mark] Coenen, Appleton; Joyce [Dale] Geske, Darboy; two sons, David [Ann], Appleton; Donald [Joy], Appleton; a brother, Urbin [Rita] Kimberly; three sisters; Cecelia [Clarence] Nelessen, Little Chute; Betty Nelessen, Kaukauna; Jen [Russ] Hoersch, Kaukauna; two sisters in-law and a brother in-law; Marie De Bruin and Lawrence and Margaret Artz; and twelve grandchildren.
Quintin was preceded in death by his wife, Johanna De Bruin; two brothers; Bernard De Bruin and Tony De Bruin.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 1, 1993 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1825 N. McDonald St., with Father Gerald R. Falk officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St. on Friday, April 30, 1993 from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday directly at the church from 9:30 until the time of service. A prayer and scripture service will be held on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. A memorial fund is being established.
