    • Francis G. Bougie, 100, born August 16, 1916 in the Town of Lawrence on a farm that his Grandfather bought when he came from Montreal, Canada in 1835. He was the son of John and Theodora (Romenesko) Bougie, and was the youngest of 13 children.

Francis was preceded in death by his siblings; Joseph Bougie, Mary (George) Burgoyne, Rose (Bill) Bodde, Catherine (Arthur) Lembke, Anna (Lucus) Treml, Isabel (Edward) Baeten, Loretta (Alois) Landwehr, Henry (Mae) Bougie, Louis (Colette) Bougie, James Bougie, William (Catherine) Bougie, and Norbert (Etta) Bougie.

He graduated from Wrightstown High School where he played the trumpet in the High School Orchestra. Francis went on to graduate from Outagamie County Normal School. He taught at Apple Creek School 2 years and left to take over the family farm when his father became ill.

On November 10, 1956, he married Lucy Bernetzke. He helped raise her children; Carl (Deceased) (Judy) Bernetzke, Gerald (Judy) Bernetzke, Leo (Carol) Bernetzke (both deceased), and Joyce (Gary) Olsen. Francis sold his farm in 1974 when Lucy became ill. She preceded him in death in 1976.

On October 12, 1984, he married Agnes Krizek. They met again after having dated as teenagers. Now, remarried he and Agnes had time to travel. Francis is survived by Agnes's children; David (Mary Ellen) Krizek, Marlene Ploeger, and Mary Lou Brown. Agnes preceded him in death in 1999.

Francis was a lifelong member of St. Clare (St. Paul) Parish in Wrightstown, where he ushered for 50 years. Francis loved his Catholic faith and always carried a rosary in his pocket and prayed for everyone. He was an avid Packer fan from the time they played at East Green Bay Stadium. Francis enjoyed playing cards and loved his garden and flowers. In 2010 at the age of 94 he left his home that was built on his farm land and moved to Nicolet Terrace where he met many friends playing cards and bingo. Francis always did a lot of walking throughout his life, starting with walking behind horses plowing fields and continued walking 1 - 2 miles a day at Nicolet Terrace. He continued walking to the grocery store, drug store and bank, because walking was the best thing you could do. Francis is survived by his step children as well as many nieces and nephews, step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
